Chairing by Mr. Wissam Al-Sudani, a member of the Prime Minister’s Advisory Council, Mrs. Nahla Kamel Alwan, the Chairwoman of the New Cities Implementation Authority, participated on Monday, in the expanded meeting held at the authority’s headquarters regarding the new housing projects. The meeting included the Director of Military Housing, Major General Mazen Hamid Shallal, the Director General of the State Real Estate Department, Mrs. Alia Nizar Ali, and several representatives from government sectoral entities, in addition to the investment companies implementing the new residential cities in Baghdad and other provinces.
The meeting discussed the progress in the new cities and the obstacles facing the implementation of infrastructure (water stations, electricity stations, sewage treatment plants), obstacles, and emphasized resolving all problems encountered through coordination between the NCIA and relevant government parties, and setting up appropriate solutions. The Advisory Council member praised the role of the New Cities Implementation Authority, represented by the chairwoman of, and her keenness to follow up on the details of the implementation of new cities and cooperation with both higher authorities and sectoral entities to achieve the execution of these strategic national projects to address the housing crisis in Baghdad.
